The 2014 Football League Championship play-off final between Derby County and Queens Park Rangers took place on 24 May 2014 at Wembley Stadium, with the prize of victory being promotion to the Premier League.
Derby had originally finished in third place, with QPR fourth, five points down. Derby won their semi-final by beating Brighton & Hove Albion 6–2 on aggregate; while QPR got through after two close matches, drawing the first leg 0–0 and winning the second leg 2–1 after extra time.
QPR won the match, with a last-minute goal from Bobby Zamora after a mistake by Derby centre-back Richard Keogh, despite Rangers having Gary O'Neil sent off at the hour mark. It is expected that QPR will earn a minimum of £134 million from winning the game.
